c)    Canister Vacuum Cleaners : These models have a strong suction motor and a separate container for the filtering system. The high suction capability makes it perfect for cleaning thick carpets, vinyl floors etc. But the bulky attachments make it difficult to move around. The price range for these models is Rs. 2,690 to Rs. 21,500 .


d)    Upright Vacuum Cleaners : These are one of the most powerful cleaner with a large dust bag which requires less changing. They are also one of the heaviest vacuum cleaners .


2)    Cord length : The cord length should be long enough to cover the area of one room. Otherwise you will have to keep plugging and unplugging the equipment .


3)    Dust bag Capacity : A high dust bag capacity will be able to hold more dust at a time and hence will save you the trouble of cleaning it all the time .


4)    Dust level Indicator : This indicator signals when the dust bag is full and needs cleaning. When the dust bag is almost full the cleaning capacity reduces .


5)    Noise level : These equipments make a lot of noise when operating. You must check that the noise should not be too disturbing to others .


6)    360 swivel hose : This hose is free to move around which will make it easier to reach out to difficult corners for cleaning .
